Independent visitors to Fatima are often deprived of so much of the history and significance of the Shrine because they have no local contact to guide them.

For this reason we can often provide tours of the Sanctuary and, for those with the time and the interest, of the many sites of religious interest which can be visited in a single day.

We give samples here though more exhaustive coverage is given in The Golden Book of Fatima and Armchair Fatima.

The usual gratuity for an experienced guide is around 75 euros a day.

Transport can be arranged for from 1 to 40 people. Prices vary but as an example from professional drivers’ cards:

  • Fatima→Batalha→Alcobaca→Nazare might cost
say €170 to €200 for the day for 3 or four people
    and €350 for 15.
  • A half day to the Santarem Miracle church might be €75.
  • Lisbon airport can be around €120 for up to 5 people.
  • A day in Lisbon for 15 people should be around €350

An email to this site in advance would insure a reply with availabilities and suggestions. (In Fatima itself the phone number is 91 041 5665.)
